Yes, here is the good and not so good news. Price has gone up slightly for the Minton, starting from 23rd March. All my buyers before this are rejoicing as they bought late last year and early this year. I have been saying for the longest time that the Minton prices is TOO LOW. Yes, if you compare the Minton prices with all developments in district 19, it is the lowest. With the new launches at Urban Residences and H2O, the prices there are $920 and $1000 plus onwards. These are smaller developments, fewer facilities and also further location....H2O is at one far corner of Sengkang....So how can the MINTON prices stay the same....as sometimes, low prices is equated to quality. The Minton prices WILL continue to go up i expect....as all prices for competitor projects and new launches around Singapore continue to set new benchmark prices....so please consider the Minton seriously as the longer you put off the purchase, the higher the chance you get caught out with increased prices again. Today, 16th February. My latest view of the property market in Singapore. For past days, I have been asked by various potential buyers whether it is a good time to buy or invest in properties. My answer is always that there is never a good time to enter the market. If you have read the business times on 15th February, Mr Mah stated clearly that the government is targeting short-term speculators only. So if you are not a short-term speculator, why should you be concerned about the government measures and put off your purchase. Really, putting off your purchase is a very risky decision as with each round of government measures, you find it harder and harder to own a property. So always buy early as the price is lower, interest rates for bank loan remains low, and you have more time to realise your gain from your asset (the property). Budget announcement on 18th Feb, we are keeping our fingers crossed that no new government measures would be announced. So if you keen on a property, resale or new, do consider your options and commit early before being caught out on a new measure. Some are moving or planning to move for various reasons, nearer to workplace, or children are entering primary school.
